Be NJ Firefighter 1 certified and/or NJ EMT licensed and active on a fire company or EMS agency for more than 18 months.
Be actively attending an accredited college or university and pursuing a baccalaureate degree or higher.
Have obtained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

A copy of the applicant's Firefighter 1 certification, or an Emergency Medical Technician certification, from the State of New Jersey.
A copy of the applicant's college transcript. The transcript must identify the school and the applicant's GPA of 2.5 or higher. Social security numbers and/or other identification numbers must be redacted.
A letter of good standing from a chief or highest-ranking officer of the applicant’s affiliated organization. The template can be found here: Letter of Good Standing
An essay of no more than 1,000 words answering the following question:
In your emergency service experience, describe a difficult situation you encountered, explain how you overcame the situation and if / how the situation shaped you into the emergency responder you are today?
